About the holiday home
The ‘Rabennest-Gütl’ holiday home in Bad Ischl in the Salzkammergut offers relaxation and privacy. Set on 3 hectares in a secluded location, surrounded by woods and meadows, you can reach the imperial town of Bad Ischl in just five minutes by car. A beautiful mountain lake can be reached on foot through the forest in around one kilometer. The house was built from wood in 1976 as a holiday and weekend home and has been open to travelers via Airbnb since August 2022.
The house is pleasantly cool in summer, and fans are available. There is a 5G Wi-Fi connection indoors and outdoors. Around the house, you can enjoy the tranquility of nature on the sun terrace and the garden.
The living room offers a cozy sofa area, a dining area, a book corner, a retro record player, board games, a fireplace bench and an open fireplace. On the upper floor there are three bedrooms with balconies: a master bedroom with a double bed (180 cm), a cozy bedroom with a double bed (160 cm) and a guest bedroom with two single beds (90 cm) and a desk. The house has infrared underfloor heating in the living room and infrared panels in other areas. A bathroom and a sauna room with shower and direct access to the garden create a wellness feeling.

Terrific stay! I would highly recommend. Home is located in a peaceful and serene setting. We enjoyed star gazing while listening to the cow bells in the distance. Having a sauna was a plus to help sooth sore muscles from challenging hikes we did. Just a short drive to Hallstatt and surrounding villages. We found everything we needed, plus lots more. We would definitely return!

By far Daniela’s holiday home was the most spectacular AirBNB I have ever been in. Since the moment we entered the yard we have been sorrounded by serenity. The place feels authentic, and cozy. Sure, it’s not located in the heart of the town, but it’s a short 7 min drive and I feel that here, facing the mountain, you are better off. Daniela has been the nicest host, always responding and eager to hand off local advice. And her pantry is the best stocked. You can literraly walk in with just your clothes. I hope we will revisit this superb place.

A truly idyllic cottage in the middle of the forest, like something out of a fairy tale. By car, you can reach everything you need from the supermarket to Bad Ischl's old town in 10 minutes. The Nussensee lake is directly accessible from the house. We had a wonderful time with family and dog. Thank you very much!!!

At the same time, I find balance as hostess of the Rabennest-Gütl and meet travelers from all over the world. Maintaining and optimizing the guesthouse is particularly important to me and I am constantly creating new amenities for my guests.
I like to be there for my guests and make sure that they have a great time in their holiday home. In the Salzkammergut, I attach great importance to warmth and support, but I stay discreetly in the background to give my guests freedom.
I have been running the Austrian Airbnb Host Facebook group on a voluntary basis since 2022 and have been an Airbnb Superhost Ambassador since July 2024. In this role, as an Airbnb independent partner, I support new hosts and hosts in Austria as they enter the wonderful world of holiday rentals.
